Raylif – Sustainable Masters

Our solutions for the circular economy in plastics

A focus on sustainability and the circular economy has become a priority for companies in any sector. At Gaypa, we embrace this vision with the Raylif family, a line of innovative products specifically designed to support your green projects in the world of plastic.

With Raylif, in fact, we offer you cutting-edge solutions for bioplastics, which can be used directly in your production, as well as specific masterbatches to color the biodegradable plastic you already use, without compromising its valuable characteristics.

We are aware that, in order to be considered truly circular and “green”, plastic objects must also be carefully controlled from the point of view of coloring and additives. This translates into the use of biocompatible and biodegradable materials (depending on the intended use), both in terms of pigments and bases (resins) used. And with Raylif, we guarantee you the compliance and performance you need.

Re-Tint

Colours for green plastics

The question we are often asked is: how to color PLA and other green plastics while keeping the benefits for the environment intact? To answer this question, our chemists conducted an in-depth study on bioplastics, which allowed us to map the pigments already used in the coloring of traditional plastics, and precisely identify those that do not compromise the biodegradability and compostability of the material.

In particular, the masterbatches that we offer with the Re-Tint line are our concrete answer, in fact they are specifically formulated to color green plastics such as PLA (Polylactic Acid), WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) and Mater-Bi. The formulation of these masterbatches is the result of a careful selection of raw materials: a set of chemically suitable pigments and carriers based on biodegradable polymers which, working in synergy, guarantee the non-alteration of the ecological properties of the final product and allow to obtain bright and stable colors without sacrificing sustainability.

It is crucial to emphasize that not only pigments, but also carriers (the polymers in which pigments are dispersed in the masterbatch) must be biodegradable to ensure full compliance of the final product with environmental regulations. With Re-Tint, we guarantee you this dual compatibility.

Agricycle

Sustainable innovation from vegetable and mineral waste

The reduction of ecological impact is the issue faced daily by those who work in the plastics sector. Today, the dream of creating a masterbatch with reduced environmental impact has become reality with our innovative Agricycle line, which represents a significant step forward towards a more efficient and responsible circular economy.

Agricycle combines bio-fillers, that is organic waste derived from crops and the mining supply chain, with coloring pigments and additives, to offer you a unique ecological product with controlled coloring; in fact, the natural origin of its components gives it technically functional characteristics and makes it easily disposable, actively contributing to waste reduction.

The masterbatches of the Agricycle line use waste from the vegetable supply chain and mineral waste, as an alternative to landfill, transforming them into precious resources that act as fillers within the formulation. In practice, instead of using only a polymer resin as a carrier, we add organic waste, usually in the form of powder or granules, such as seed waste, vines, organic waste from the food and agricultural chain or waste from mineral deposits.

This innovative approach offers several tangible benefits:

  • greater sustainability: plastic is more environmentally sustainable, as it is composed of a percentage of waste that is also biodegradable;
  • peculiar aesthetic effect: the presence of granules gives the product a unique aesthetic touch and a distinctive texture, ideal for design productions;
  • natural colouring: organic waste already gives it a natural colour, which can be adjusted with the addition of pigments, if necessary, offering great chromatic flexibility and original solutions;
  • waste reduction: clearly, the use of waste products significantly reduces waste and contributes to a more circular production model.
